I think that teen readers might not be willing to wait that long to get to what I think was really the beginning of the story. It took about 100 pages to get the excitement going and really hook me in. What didn’t you like about the book? I really had to struggle to get into this story in the beginning. Despite the multiple themes the story is well written and has a little bit of something for a lot of different readers. The plot includes themes of identity, loss, adoption, teen pregnancy, and has a major story thread involving Huntington’s disease. ![]() I also liked that the author included more than one major issue as the central theme of the story. ![]() ![]() The characters were welled developed and the author didn’t leave you with details hanging at the end of the story. What did you like about the book? I have to start off by saying I thought the story was very unique and detailed. Someone Else’s Life, Katie Dale, Delecorte Books for Young Readers, 2012 ![]()
